Tactran are the Regional Transport Partnership for Tayside and Central Scotland, working together with the following local authorities:

• Angus Council
• Dundee City Council
• Perth and Kinross Council
• Stirling Council.

Tactran aims to provide constituents with good quality transport modes and the choice to make more sustainable travel choices. Reducing single occupancy car journeys is a key way to reduce congestion, cut pollution and contribute to reductions in emissions.

Car sharing is ideal for the region, with many people commuting to these areas for work and leisure purposes. And with so many rural towns and villages in Tayside and Central Scotland, implementing a car sharing database and website was a natural choice to increase travel choice for constituents.
